VHF FM INDOOR DIPOLE AERIALS Early valve radios were never very sensitive on VHF and don't compare at all with modern, solid-state tuners. When VHF FM transmissions began in the UK, the best option was to use an aerial mounted on the chimney, unless you lived close to the transmitter then the set's internal aerial would have been good enough. VHF transmissions have a pretty good coverage these days, but there are many occasions where a vintage radio's internal aerial just isn't good enough. I can now supply indoor dipole aerials for use with vintage VHF-FM radios. The T-shaped aerial simply plugs into the back of the radio and may be run along a picture rail or some other convenient place to vastly improve FM reception on early radios. The special two pin plug will fit most vintage radios.
