The vintage radios for sale here have been fully restored and carry a ONE YEAR guarantee. If you're just starting off your collection of vintage radios or your budget is restricted, then you've come to the right place. The word 'economy' doesn't mean that I've cut corners or not carried out a proper restoration job. It simply means that the radios for sale here might not be as collectable as some of the more expensive models. I will be adding more inexpensive restored radios for sale here soon, so come back and check regularly.

Ferranti 555 (545)
! YEAR GUARANTEE

Circa 1954, this Ferranti table-top radio covers long and medium wave. I used this radio in the workshop for two years before restoring it and I've become rather attached to it. I like the large letters on the tuning dial because I can read the station names without my glasses, which is excellent. The cabinet is robust, as if it was designed to be knocked about. The radio sounds lovely, it's neat and slim-line and... I suppose the only way to describe it would be to say that it's a basic, rugged radio which works extremely well. This isn't so much a collector's radio but one that was designed to be used all day every day.

Fully restored with a ONE YEAR guarantee.

Pye P224
! YEAR GUARANTEE

Circa 1967, this must have been one of the first radios to use a printed circuit board rather than a hardwired chassis, and Pye have proudly stated - Printed Circuit - on the dial. With an EL84 audio output valve, the sound quality is very good. The radio covers long and medium wave, but it also has four short wave bands. If you're into short wave listening, then why not start off your collection with this lovely Pye radio?
