Ostende Radio 2761kHz:
The station is still very active on 2761kHz USB with meteorological bulletins for Belgian coastal waters transmitted by radiotelephony in English and Dutch. Initial call is made on 2182kHz. Ostende Radio is a maritime coast radio station located on Belgium’s North Sea coast. It is associated with the Maritime Rescue Co‑ordination Centre Ostende.

1918-1930 rebuilding of the coast station – callsign OST – located at Oostende.
1929 r/telephony operational – callsign OSU.
1932-1940 modernisation of Oostenderadio – located at Stene.
1947 transmitters located at Middelkerke – receivers located at Stene.
April 1st 1964 opening of a new station located at Oudenburg.
full remote control of all transmitters located at Middelkerke and at Ruiselede.
Dec.15th 1977 opening of a ultra-modern station in the center of Oostende.
r/telex fully modernised and operational.
radio traffic on VHF, MF and HF – r/telephony and r/telegraphy.
1987 full automatic Navtex.
Nov. 1995 closing down of HF r/telegraphy.
Feb. 1999 DSC fully operational.
2001 Oostenderadio becomes part of the Belgian Navy.
March 2004 closing down of r/telex.
Oct. 30th 2006 station located in a new Comm Center at Zeebrugge 51°20N 003°12E.
March 2016 Oostenderadio relocates in Oostende, with MRCC.

Ostende Radio transmission schedule:
Oostenderadio listens 24/24 hours, 7/7 on 2182, 3178, 4095 and 8237 kHz. Announcement of maritime safety information (M.S.I.), weather reports, storm reports, etc. On MF 2182 kHz and VHF CH 16 (in English and Dutch) on DSC VHF CH 70 and DSC MF 2187.5 kHz (only before the first transmission of new safety information) Transmission of maritime safety messages: on 2761 kHz and VHF CH 07 (first in English, then in Dutch), immediately after receiving it on the coastal station, then 2 x after the next H+03 and H+33 (the former silence periods) Then broadcast every 4 hours, at fixed times (0233, 0633, 1033, 1433, 1833 and 2233 UTC). broadcast weather forecast: on 2761 kHz and VHF CH 07 (first in English, then in Dutch), at 0720 LT, and at 0820 and 1720 UTC.
