The amazing power of low power!
This is unbelievable! Transmitting 200mW on 15 metres, 21.0946MHz, with a mobile whip standing on the floor, taped to the table. No ground plane and surrounded by metal objects! If you don’t have the space for a decent outside antenna, this WSPR (weak signal propagation reporter) result is encouraging. I also use JS8 Call, another low power digital program for keyboard to keyboard chat.

Heard in Frankfurt, Germany!
The mobile whip antenna standing on the floor, taped to the table. I didn’t think I’d be heard anywhere.

COVERING THE WORLD WITH WSPR!

Using my Icom IC-7300, I’m now running 10 Watts into my doublet on 21MHz (30 metres long and 10 metres high). Take a look at the map below. I’m being heard all over the world! Check out the call sign DP0POL, the ship near Greenland. Also, DP0GVN, the research station down in Antarctica.
