G4NSJ – Short Wave Broadcast Frequencies HF radio shortwave
I’ve heard many people say that there are no broadcast stations on short wave anymore. On the contrary, even with a moderate antenna, many stations from all over the world can be heard. Here are some short wave broadcast stations I’ve heard from my QTH on the south coast of the U.K. I only started this list in January 2025 so it’s early days. By the way, I’m using my Lowe HF-150 comms receiver with a MiniWhip avtive antenna.
Bear in mind that the band edges aren’t always adhered to by certain countries so it’s worth tuning a little outside the bands. Once you’ve tuned into a radio station, type the frequency into this website Shortwave Schedule and all the details will come up. I’ll be adding to this page so do come back and check it now and then.
