Brading Roman Villa, Isle of Wight. May 2024:

Quarr Abbey, Isle of Wight. May 2024:

The Abbey of Our Lady of Quarr is a monastery on the Isle of Wight. It’s home to a small group of Benedictine monks who dedicate their lives God. There’s a shop which sells an amazing choice of chutney, jam, marmalade, beer, wine, spirits… It’s well worth a visit! This relates to the podcast, Ray’s Roaming Rants, Isle Of Wight Holiday May 2024.

Mottistone Manor and Gardens, Isle of Wight. May 2024:

This is Mottistone Manor and Gardens. First mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086, the manor as it stands today was created during the 15th and 16th centuries. The surrounding gardens were initially created in the 1960s. This relates to the podcast, Ray’s Roaming Rants, Isle Of Wight Holiday May 2024.

PLUTO – Pipe line under the ocean:

This is a photo of part of the pipeline at Shanklin Chine called PLUTO. It used to run from the Isle of Wight to France, supplying petrol to our troops during WWII.

St Mary The Virgin Church, Clapham, West Sussex. 23rd May 2024:

St Mary The Virgin Church, Clapham. Built in the 12th century. There I am, standing at the pulpit, looking somewhat serious. This relates to the podcast, Ray’s Roaming Rants, St Mary The Virgin, Clapham Church. 23rd May 2024.

St Mary’s Church, Sompting, West Sussex. 7th June 2024.:

St Mary’s Church has a tower dating from Saxon times. I believe the church was built in the 11th century. This relates to the podcast, Ray’s Roaming Rants,  St Mary’s Church, Sompting. 7th June 2024.

The Wildfowl Wetlands, Arundel. Feb 2023:

Here are a few photos of the wetlands at Arundel. This is a beautiful place away from the noise of towns and full of wildlife. There’s also an excellent cafe. Swanbourne Lake is a short walk away so do take a look.
